Codenamed "Strange Cargo" and released in May 1998. With version 5.0, all 68k support was dropped from Adobe's flagship product. The Mac version of Photoshop was now a purely PPC native product.

Adobe Photoshop 5.0 Limited Editon is the tuned down version of Adobe Photoshop and it was the cheaper variant of Adobe Photoshop 5.0, which is specially designed for consumers before it were surpassed with Adobe Photoshop Elements. It contains most of the features of the professional version but with fewer and simpler options.

Compatibility:

To use Adobe Photoshop LE, you need the following hardware and software:

Minimum requirements for Macintosh:
- Power Macintosh Computer
- Mac OS version 7.5 or later
- At least 16 megabytes (MB) of random-access memory (RAM).
- A hard drive with at lease 40 MB of free space. You'll need additional disk space if you work with very large image files.
- An 8-bit (256-color) display adapter card.
- A CD-ROM drive.

Tested and works perfectly in SheepShaver configuration for Mac OS version. Runs
fine under Mac OS 9.2.2 or earlier.

Minimum requirements for Windows:
- An Intel® Pentium®-class or faster processor.
- Windows® 95 (or later), or Intel-based Windows NT® version 4.0 or later.
- At least 16 megabytes (MB) of random-access memory (RAM).
- A hard drive with at least 40 MB of free space. You’ll need additional disk space if you work with very large image files.
- An 8-bit (256-color) display adapter card.
- A CD-ROM drive.

Runs fine on 32bit Windows up to & including Windows XP. This version may run OK on newer Windows OS's, but this has not been tested by me.

This is a little extension for your System Folder (more precisely, a File System extension) to enable Macs with System 7.5.5 up to Mac OS 9.2.2 to read CDs formatted in UDF (on Windows: "CDUDF") format. Apple provides its own UDF extension, but that is limited to certain flavours, while Adaptec's extension supports more of these flavours (it supports the specs 1.02 and 1.5, but not the newer version 2 specs). So, if you frequently use burnt CDs make on PCs (Windows), installing this extension might make it easier to access a few of those CDs.

TransFuse can be used to exchange files with the host OS from the Mac emulator FusionPC.
The disk image is taken from the Fusion package, but this is a fresh DC4.2 copy.
The nVirA virus included with the original raw image was removed from this copy.

The emulator needs a Windows 9X or a DOS host.

Some utilities were available for grabbing your Mac´s ROM for use with emulators.
The upload sports Copy ROM and ROM Grabber, but misses GetROM.

Included with the upload is a ROM grabbed from SS - proof of concept.

[2nd DL]: Have added Lauri Pesonen's GetROM application (& source).
Compressed using Stuffit 3.6 for reasonable backwards compatibility (SSW 6.x & later).
Note: Do read the enclosed "important.txt" document before using this program.

Compatibility:

ROM Grabber is PPC coded (requires PPC Mac running SSW 7.1.2 or newer)
Copy ROM & GetROM are 68k coded (runs on any Mac)

You can restore the complete set of software to the hard disk (or make a copy on another disk) using the Apple Software Restore program on the CD. Compatibility:

For PowerBook G3 series Macintosh, it appears to be suitable for installing onto SheepShaver, too. It boots, installs and runs fine on my SheepShaver (with Old World ROM) setup.

A Mac version of the Wheel of Fortune quiz show, for three human players. Choose three players or click "Quick Start" for random character picks. Then take turns spinning the wheel, guessing letters, buying vowels, and solving the puzzles. Has some comic player animations when they are clicked on or have good / bad results.

Poking around the file with ResEdit shows that it was created in HyperCard, but it runs as a stand-alone application.

Unfortunately I do not have any other puzzles lists nor the application / instructions to make them, so there's only the in-built set.

Indovina is inspired by the famous board game called Guess Who?.

You will be prompted with 24 faces among which your Mac will randomly select one for itself and one for you. The aim of the game is to guess the opponent’s face before it guesses yours. You can play either versus your Mac or versus a friend on an AppleTalk network (currently, on the same zone only).

Remember those boring old days in detention, when a friend and you decided to just draw a grid of dots and make some squares? Well, you can now live those days again!

Dots is a game with a grid of dots placed on the board. Each player (human or computer) takes turns drawing a line between two dots. The lines are horizontal or vertical (not diagonal), and the dots must be next to each other. If a player completes a square, the square is marked as theirs and they get another turn. The player with the most squares wins!

To make a line, just click between the dots!

The usually reliable Virtual DVD-ROM Utility cannot mount this image, but I was able to mount, install, and play it using Toast Titanium 5.0.2. Even once installed, the disc must be mounted every time you play.

PowerLogix manufactured 3rd party G3 and G4 upgrade cards for Macintosh. This is their driver software for a G3 daughter card from 1999. PowerLogix included a full install of LinuxPPC 1999 Release 5, on the CD which came with the G3 daughter card.

I've added a copy of the driver for anyone who needs it, separate from the CD, so they don't need to DL 500 MBs of unrelated Linux software just to get the 400KB driver software.

I'm also archiving the entire CD for historical interest. LinuxPPC was a very good Linux to run at the time, based largely on Red Hat ports.
